Tour Plan :

Day 1 : Marrakech → Ouarzazate → Boumalne Dades

Your exciting 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga begins early in the morning, with pickup from your hotel or riad around 8:00 a.m.

The first stop is the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. On the way, you will cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, passing traditional adobe Berber villages. Several stops will be made along the route for scenic photos, short breaks, and refreshments.

After a lunch stop in Ouarzazate, the journey continues to the lush Skoura Oasis, one of the largest in Morocco’s Sahara region. Skoura is renowned for the beautifully preserved Kasbah Amridil, a must-see historical site. Accompanied by a local kasbah guide, you will explore the fortress and learn about traditional Saharan architecture and ancient irrigation systems used in the surrounding oases since medieval times.

The tour then proceeds to Boumalne Dades via the Valley of the Roses, known for its Damascus rose fields and women’s cooperatives producing rose water and handmade cosmetic products. Before reaching your accommodation, you will stop at the top of the Dades Canyons to enjoy panoramic views of this dramatic landscape.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at a lodge in the Dades Valley.

Day 2 : Boumalne Dades → Tinghir → Merzouga

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we begin the day by driving along the legendary Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward the oasis town of Tinghir. Upon arrival, you will soak in the serene atmosphere of the Todgha River, with time to stroll along its banks and observe the traditional lifestyle of the Berber villages and ancient kasbahs. The walk gradually leads you to the breathtaking Todgha Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically on both sides.

After a rewarding morning, we stop near the gorges for lunch. In the afternoon, the journey continues to Erfoud, a town well known for its date market and fossilized marble workshops.

Our next stop is Rissani, a sacred town and the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, which still rules Morocco today. From there, we continue toward Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Upon arrival, prepare for an unforgettable camel trek across the golden dunes. Sit back and enjoy the shifting colors of the sand as the sun sets over the desert horizon.

After the camel ride, you will return to your luxury Sahara desert camp, where a magical Moroccan dinner awaits under the stars beside a warm campfire. Relax and savor the evening as local nomads perform traditional drum music, creating an atmosphere that touches the soul.

After this enchanting experience, settle in for a comfortable and memorable overnight stay in the heart of the Sahara.

Day 3 : Merzouga → Nkob → Agdz → Ouarzazate

After an early wake-up to admire the sunrise over the dunes, enjoy a camel ride (or a 4×4 jeep transfer) back to the village of Merzouga, where you will meet your driver and prepare for another day filled with sightseeing and adventure.

The journey continues across the volcanic landscapes of the northeastern slopes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains toward the village of Nkob, marking the beginning of the scenic drive through the legendary Draa Valley. Along the way, you will pass numerous traditional mud-brick villages scattered throughout the valley, offering a glimpse into authentic southern Moroccan life.

By mid-afternoon, we arrive in Agdz—whose name means “resting place” in Berber. Historically, Agdz served as a key stop for ancient camel caravans traveling across the Sahara Desert between Marrakech and Timbuktu.

From Agdz, we continue to Ouarzazate, where you will check in to your hotel and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Ouarzazate → Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou → Telouet → Marrakech

After breakfast, we head west on a short drive to explore the charm of the Berber villages at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most visited and iconic landmarks. This remarkable site is an outstanding example of traditional Moroccan earthen architecture and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. It has also served as the filming location for several famous Hollywood productions, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.

Enjoy a guided walking tour of the kasbah before continuing to Telouet, another historic kasbah situated along the former caravan route that once connected Marrakech with the Sahara Desert across the High Atlas Mountains. Telouet Kasbah was built in the late 19th century by the powerful warlord El Glaoui and reflects the region’s rich political and architectural history.

From Telouet, we cross the High Atlas Mountains and return to Marrakech, marking the end of our services.
